All proceeds of todays Pro-Am went to local charities within Mont Belvieu and PGA Reach Southern Texas.
MONT BELVIEU, TX —Eagle Pointe Golf Club will play host to the 24th Lone Star NGL Texas Senior Open for the seventh consecutive year on Wednesday, October 21 – Friday, October 23, 2020. The Tournament is presented by S & B and Vortech Contracting for the third year in a row.
Title sponsor Lone Star NGL has agreed to continue as the title sponsor for the Texas Senior Open through 2022. Vortech Contracting has also extended their agreement and will continue as a presenting sponsor of the Texas Senior Open through 2022.
The 54-hole stroke play event will consist of 120 players from not only Texas but all over the country. This will be the largest field in the tournament’s 24-year history.
The Senior Division, consisting of players ages 50-64, will play 36-holes before being cut to the low 30 scores and ties, while a Champion will be named in the Veterans Division (players 64+) after two rounds of play.
In last year’s event, Chris Hunsucker of San Antonio, Texas won the tournament by five strokes with rounds of 64-67 for a final 36-hole score of 131 (-11). The senior division was shortened to 36-holes due to inclement weather.
Eagle Pointe Golf Club also played host to the Lone Star NGL Texas Senior Open Pro-Am which took place earlier today. All proceeds of today’s Pro-Am went to local charities within Mont Belvieu and PGA Reach Southern Texas. The Vortech Contracting team of Steve Abalos, Brad O’Neal, Chris Srubar, Tommy VanVactor, and Professional Mark Walker won the shamble event with a total score of 118.
This event raised $20,000 for local charities that includes PGA Reach Southern Texas and Lone Star NGL Scholarship fund. PGA Reach Southern Texas strives to positively impact the lives of youth, military, and diverse populations. This is accomplished by enabling access to PGA Professionals and the multitude of programs offered by PGA REACH Southern Texas.
