Rolex Senior Player of the Year
This award is given to the person who earns the most points throughout 5 events each year. These 5 events include:
Senior Division Points Challenge Events
• Veritex Bank
Spring Classic
• Boxto Memorial Championship
• GolfStatus Tradition Championship
• TPx Player's Cup
• Southern Texas Senior PGA Section Championship
We also use this Points List to determine specific exemptions for the following year.
The top four (4) Southern Texas PGA Members of any classification, that are classified in the Southern Texas PGA, and have reached their 50th birthday on or before the first round of competition at the Southern Texas Senior PGA Professional Championship, will qualify for the Levy Cup Matches.
Should the STPGA receive exemptions into Monday Qualifying of a PGA TOUR Champions event or the Championship, the previous year Senior Player of the Year will be used to determine the players that receive these spots.
Note: The eligibility requirements of the PGA Tour, PGA TOUR Champions, or other events will supersede the STPGA’s definition or requirements. If this is the case the next highest individual on the respective points list would receive the benefit.
