Energy Transfer Texas Senior Open Qualifying Series
In 2024, the STPGA will be rebranding the Senior Series to the Energy Transfer Texas Senior Open Qualifying Series. These qualifiers will include a similar Purse and Skins game to past STPGA Senior Series events; however, now all players will be competing for one Purse.
At each Energy Transfer Texas Senior Open Qualifier, the Top-4 finishers who are not already exempt (to a floor of 20th
in the overall leaderboard) will earn an exemption into the 2025 Energy Transfer Texas Senior Open.
Individuals aged 65 and older will have the option of playing from the "Veteran Tee" in each Energy Transfer Texas Senior Open Qualifier. Individuals choosing to play from this tee will still compete for the Purse but will be ineligible to receive an exemption into the 2025 Energy Transfer Texas Senior Open should they finish in a qualifying spot.
*Note: In order to qualify for the exemptions, you must play from the Senior Division Championship Yardages approved by the Committee.

Series Overview
- Stroke play tournaments at premier facilities in the Southern Texas Section. Entry fees include green, cart, and range fees.
- Professionals will be awarded cash; Amateurs will be awarded gift certificates.
- All players will compete for the same purse, regardless of the tee that they play.
- Tournament deadlines for each event will be the Wednesday prior to the event at 11:59 PM.
- No Membership required; Any individual who has reached their 50th birthday may participate.
- Standard entry fee will be $150.
- Skins games will be held in each round for a nominal entry fee.
